Members of the local Isaiah 117 House requested volunteers to help with snow removal efforts throughout the winter.

Organization members said in a statement Tuesday, Jan. 7, that they primarily need help with plowing of their driveways and shoveling of their sidewalks. The statement noted that they especially need assistance on snowier days.

“The truth is that even the worst weather will not keep children from being placed in the foster care system, so we need to be prepared to receive them in a warm, welcoming space no matter the conditions outside,” the statement said.
