Man accused of hit and run at Cranberry Mall
A 64-year-old Cranberry Township man was arrested and charged with DUI hit and run after striking another car head on at the entrance to the Cranberry Mall on the evening of Jan. 4.
Hung Kinh Nguyen was identified as the driver.
Officers responded to a call about a collision where the driver of a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee crossed the center line and struck a Honda Odyssey and then left the scene.
Police were able to locate the Jeep a few minutes later on Freeport Road and performed a traffic stop.
According to police, Nguyen said he didn’t stop after the accident because he had been drinking too much.
Nguyen declined both blood and breath tests and was transported to UPMC Passavant-Cranberry for a medical check.
