Dorothy M. Hoelzer, 83, of Butler passed away at 10:42 p.m. Thursday at Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born Oct. 1, 1932, in Summit Township, the daughter of the late George A. Weed and Mary (Kolch) Weed.

Surviving are her daughter, Sharon (Terry) Snyder of Karns City; her son, Edward (Rae Ann) Hoelzer of Chicora; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce L. Hoelzer, who died May 31, 2008.
