Driver injured in Center Township crash
The driver in a Oneida Valley Road crash was injured when his car struck a tree, according to a police report.
The driver, Logan R. Irwin, 22, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital after getting into a crash in his red Ford Escape shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Mike Pflugh, chief of the Unionville Volunteer Fire Company, told the Butler Eagle the injuries appeared to be minor.
According to the public information report, the crash occurred when Irwin was traveling north on Route 38 Center Township. While going around a curve, the car went up an embankment and struck the tree on Oneida Valley Road, just 150 feet east of Victoria Lane. The car ended up facing south after making impact and coming to a stop.
At the time, the tree had fallen onto the road and partially blocked traffic as a result. The driver had been driving at a safe speed at the time of the crash, according to the report.
