Ralph Clifford Wimer
Ralph Clifford Wimer, 55, of Rhoer Road, Slippery Rock, West Liberty Borough, died Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 2, 1952, in Grove City, the son of Charles DeWitt and Sylvia Campbell Wimer.
Mr. Wimer was a general laborer with Local 373 in Pittsburgh, and a member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served as staff sergeant and was wounded in Vietnam.
Mr. Wimer enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing. He collected wood carvings of ducks and elephants.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie K.G. Wimer, and his best friend, Jake the dog, at home; two daughters, Ada Ottinger and her husband, Billy, of Pinellas Park, Fla.; and Jamie Wimer of Largo, Fla.; a brother, Charles Wimer and his wife, Nancy, of West Liberty; a sister, Nora Bickel and her husband, Skip, of Slippery Rock; four grandchildren, Ryan and Dillon Ottinger, Angel Wimer-Koski and Robert Wimer; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Ada; and a nephew.
