Clarence ‘Bill’ Lieb

Clarence W. “Bill” Lieb, 92, of Zelienople, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, while under the care of Lowrie Place Assisted Living in Butler.

Born on March 3, 1932, in Pittsburgh, he grew up on the North Side. He was the son of the late Clarence and Edna (Schoenbeck) Lieb.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, stationed in New York during the early 1950s. He was an electrical design supervisor and retired from Herr-Voss in 1999. He was a member of the Freemasons since 1953, was a prior member of the Woodturners Club, and was a member of English Lutheran Church in Zelienople.

Bill enjoyed many interests over the years, first and foremost was time spent with his family. His other interests included bike riding, woodworking, doing puzzles, collecting coins/stamps, photography, outdoor activities, travel, the Steelers, his love of dark chocolate and socializing with his many friends. All the people that came in contact with Bill knew he loved to talk and loved his positive attitude.

Bill is survived by his two sons, Jim (Kristin) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Eric (Lesley) of Butler; and four grandchildren, BJ Eldridge of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Erica (Dave) Fishel of Butler, Maggie (Steve) Murphy of Lower Burrell and Clay Lieb of Myrtle Beach. He also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Jackson and Jameson Fishel, and Daniel and Millie Murphy.

Bill was preceded in death by his wonderful wife, Emma Jeanette (Snyder) Lieb in 2009; his son, Ronald Craig Lieb in 2014; and his favorite dog, Minnie, in 2022.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to hospice and the staff and residents of Lowrie Place for their love and friendship toward Bill.

LIEB — Friends and family of Clarence W. “Bill” Lieb, who died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A luncheon will be held immediately following visitation at English Lutheran Church for those willing to attend.

A funeral ceremony for family members will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to English Lutheran Church, 200 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, PA 16063.
