Genealogical society hosting talk by award-winning author

The Butler County Genealogical Society will host a webinar about overlooked records on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the Butler Area Public Library.

“Hidden Gems of the Keystone State — Finding Land, Military, Ethnic, and Overlooked Records,” by Lisa A. Alzo, will begin at 6:15 p.m. in the library’s downstairs meeting room, at 218 N. McKean St. in Butler.

Alzo is a freelance writer, instructor and internationally recognized lecturer who specializes in Eastern European research and nonfiction writing. She is the author of 11 books, including the award-winning “Three Slovak Women,” as well as hundreds of magazine articles.
