Robert Kriess, 65, of Butler, passed away on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025.

He was born in Butler on May 4, 1959, to Henry Kriess and Shirley Walowen.

Robert graduated from Butler High School in 1977 and honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1977 to 1980. He was employed as a project manager for commercial construction for over 35 years.

Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, and he will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Robert was the beloved husband of Becky (Garrison) Kriess since their marriage almost 38 years ago; father of Kalsey (Brian) Swope and Kolby Kriess; brother of Bill (Cindy) Kriess and Dale Kriess; and grandfather of Blaine, Brinley and Barrett Swope.

Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Sherry (Kriess) Koegler.

KRIESS — Family and friends of Robert Kriess, who died Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, will be received from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A prayer service will follow immediately after in the funeral home.
