Beatrice C. “Bea” (McKee) Young, 88, of Pittsburgh passed away Thursday at the Evergreen Nursing Home in Harmony.

Born Jan. 28, 1927, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret (Sarver) McKee.

Bea was a licensed practical nurse for more than 24 years at Allegheny General Hospital, which sustained her role as a caring and compassionate volunteer at UPMC Passavant Hospital in the North Hills for many years.

Bea loved playing the Pennsylvania lottery and scratch-off tickets. She enjoyed the numerous cruises and vacations she shared with her late husband. Bea was quite the animal lover, but especially loved all of her dogs. She will be most remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two loving daughters, Cheryl Stuckey of Evans City and Deborah (Scott) Garing of Evans City; her two brothers, Jack (Regina) McKee of Pittsburgh and Sam (Agnes) McKee of Pittsburgh; her eight grandchildren, Michael Heaney, Timothy Stuckey, Melanie Brubach, Nicole Garing, Erin Garing, Scott Garing Jr., Amber Young and Kimberly Young; her nine great-grandchildren, Joseph, Josh, Brandon, Adam, Ryan, Chloe, Elsa, Leo and Sydney; and her two great-great-grandchildren, Jaxx and Maddox.

In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dallas “Skip” Young, who passed away Dec. 1, 2003; her daughter, Diana Heaney; her son, Edward Young; her son-in-law, Steve Stuckey; her brother, Clarence; and two sisters, Betty Jane and Margaret.

YOUNG — The family of Beatrice C. “Bea” (McKee) Young, who died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter J. Everett officiating.She will be laid to rest at Mount Royal Cemetery in Shaler Township.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Bea's family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
