Slippery Rock girls basketball shook off the snow and brushed off Hickory 42-34 in a District 10 Region 4 game Thursday night.
Madison Romanovich put together an all-around performance that included a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds, plus four assists. CJ Sabo scored nine points and grabbed seven boards, and Belle Miller added eight points and six rebounds.
The Rockets (10-3, 2-0) have won three straight.
Swimming
Mars was swept by North Allegheny on Thursday night. The boys lost 86-67, and the girls lost 93-73. No stats were provided.
