Robert F. Zera, 84, of Butler, passed away, Monday evening, Jan. 13, 2025.

He was born Dec. 28, 1940, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Frank S. Zera and Thelma M. (Haley) Zera.

Bob was a graduate of Mars High School and St. Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe. He worked as a designer for The Butler Florist for 27 years, beginning in 1981.

He was a member of All Saints Parish in Butler, also the Knights of Columbus, Third Degree member of the No. 866 Butler Council and Fourth Degree member of St. Fidelis Assembly No. 929, the Brother Oblation at St. Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe and was a member of the Benedictine Order.

He enjoyed baking and cooking for family and friends and also at the St. Vincent Monastery and at the Holy Trinity Monastery in Butler.

Bob will be missed by his friends he had made.

ZERA — Friends of Robert F. Zera, who died Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
