Timothy Leland Best

Timothy Leland Best, 36, of Sarah Furnace Road, Parker, died at 3 a.m. Sunday from injuries in a one-car accident near his home.

Born in Clarion, Nov. 15, 1969, he was the son of Leland Howard Best and Mary Lou Weaver Seybert.

He was a Christian. He was a 1987 graduate of the Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School, where he played on the football, basketball, track and golf teams.

Mr. Best was a driver at Enterprize Trucking in Parker.

He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard in Butler from 1987 to 1996. He took training at Fort Indian Town Gap and then served with the 28th Infantry Regiment stationed at Fort Jackson, S.C.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, shooting pool, four wheeling and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Sally Ann Seybert Best, whom he married Oct. 10, 1989, at the West Freedom United Methodist Church; a daughter, Chrystal Kahle and her husband, Thomas, of Beaumont, Colo.; and two sons, Corey Tyler Best and Zachary Taylor Best, both at home.

He also is survived by his father of Lancaster; his mother and her husband, Richard Seybert, of Rimersburg; a brother, Jonathan Allen Best of West Freedom; two sisters, Jennifer Renee Bowser and her husband, J.R., and Mellisa Sue Seybert, all of Rimersburg; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

BEST — Friends of Timothy Leland Best, who died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the RICHARD D. HILLIS FUNERAL HOME, 758 Main St., Rimersburg. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Guntrum, pastor of the Carwick Wesleyan Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, ConnerationMembers of the Rimersburg VFW and the American Legion Ceremonial Squad will conduct military honors at the funeral home.
