Walter A. Miller

Walter A. Miller, 76, of Cabot died Tuesday at his home.

Born Aug. 11, 1929, in Gibsonia, he was the son of Thomas C. Miller and Myra Jean (Hill) Miller.

He worked as a lineman for the North Pittsburgh Telephone Co.

He was an army veteran who served in Germany following World War II.

He was a member of the Armstrong Lodge 239 F&AM, New Castle Scottish Rite, Saxonburg VFW, Syria Mosque, Nash Car Club and Antique Automobile Club.

Mr. Miller was also the coordinator of Boy Scout and Cub Pack No. 51.

He was a life-long member of the Bull Creek Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Carol Jean (Jakovac) Miller of Cabot,

whom

he married on Sept. 23, 1983; two sons, Kevin Miller of Alexandria, Va., and Curtis Miller of Hailey, Idaho; two step-sons, Kevin Moore of Butler and Todd Moore of Cabot; his brother, Wayne "Paul" Miller of Sissonville, W.Va.; three sisters, Melva Smith of Slate Lick, Nettie Stark of

Sarver, and Alice Drescher of Saxonburg;

five granddaughters; a great-grandson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his first wife, Vivian Elaine Bowser, who died May 19, 1979.

MILLER — Friends for Walter A. Miller, who died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Bull Creek Methodist Church.
