John I. Haine

John I. Haine, 95, of Harmony died Monday at Ellwood City Hospital.

Born July 28, 1909, in Harmony, he was the son of John L. and Margaret E. Covert Haine.

He was a member of the Grace Church of Harmony and a former member of the Butler Farm Show.

Mr. Haine was a member of the Western Pennsylvania Coon & Fox Hunter's Association. He was a breeder of Yorkshire hogs and belonged to the Yorkshire Club.

He is survived by his wife, Claire E. Ruby Haine, whom he married April 4, 1936; two daughters, Mrs. David (Joretta) Kennedy and Mrs. William (Janet) Metzger, both of Harmony; a son, Larry I. Haine of Harmony; and a sister, Blanche Marburger of New Wilmington. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

HAINE - Friends of John I. Haine, who died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter Everett, his church pastor, officiating.
