Mickey R. Walker

Mickey R. Walker, 67, of Butler passed away Friday at 9:40 a.m. at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born July 15, 1946, in Somerset to Leora (Wood) Walker and the late Joseph Walker.

Mr. Walker was a member of Hannahstown Road Baptist Church. He graduated from Hempfield Area High School. Mr. Walker was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam era at Hahn Air Force Base in Germany. He worked for Fugh Refrigeration from 1980 to 1994, and then worked for Pulva Corporation from 1994 to 2008.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Louise Walker, who he married on Jan. 22, 1965; three sons, Daniel L. Walker and his wife, Linda, of Butler, Brian R. Walker of Butler and Scott Walker and his wife, Laura, of Slippery Rock; his mother, Leora (Wood) Walker of Hunker, Pa.; five grandchildren, Mickaela M. Wessel, Jessica A. Wessel, Dillon S. Walker, Destinie M. Bartholomew-Walker and Harley D. Walker; and two brothers, Terry Walker of Ruffsdale and Richard Walker of Greensburg.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Walker.

WALKER — Friends of Mickey R. Walker, who died Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, will be received Monday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Hannahstown Road Baptist Church, 250 Hannahstown Road, Cabot. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Wagner of Hannahstown Road Baptist Church officiating. There will be a meal following the service.Arrangements are being entrusted to the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
