Mary Evans, 90, formerly of Highfield, died Sunday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.

She was born Aug. 9, 1920, in Butler, a daughter of the late John and Mary Karbonick Sadlak.

Mary was a homemaker, mother and grandmother.

She loved her home and her family and greatly enjoyed cooking, baking and traveling. She also enjoyed playing bingo at the Highfield Community Center and at Sunnyview.

Her husband, John Evans, who she married July 29, 1944, preceded her in death March 29, 1965. One sister and three brothers also preceded her.

Surviving is her daughter, Karen Evans, of New York, N.Y. Also surviving are two sons and their wives, Dennis and Bernadette Evans of Butler and Tom and Linda Evans, also of Butler; and four grandchildren, Robert and Tara Evans, Nathan Vavro and Tyler Evans. Several nieces and nephews also survive her.

<B>EVANS </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Mary Evans, who died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Private interment will take place at Butler County Memorial Park.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
