Geraldine E. Covert Thompson, 95, of Evans City, passed away on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025.

Born March 28, 1929, in Connoquenessing, she was the daughter of the late Leland P. and Sylvia Stevick Covert.

Geraldine graduated from Buffalo Bible Institute. She was a life member of Gospel Life Church, formerly the First Baptist Church, where she was very active with her church family serving as a Sunday school teacher and an Awana instructor.

She worked in several positions at Treesdale Manor until 1980 as the housekeeper.

She was a loving homemaker for her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald N. Thompson on July 8, 2018; and a brother, David Covert.

She is survived by six children, Becky (Gregory) Sanders, Millie (Lawrence) Magliocca, Ronald (Karen) Thompson, Bryan (Laurie) Thompson, James (Pam) Thompson and Richard (Kim) Thompson; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a second to arrive.

THOMPSON — Friends of Geraldine E. Covert Thompson, who passed away on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2025, will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, 328 W. Main St., Evans City. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday.
