Knoch’s wrestling team closed section action Wednesday with a 59-17 victory at Summit Academy.

Earning wins for the Knights were Brad McGowan, Derrick Glover, Wyatt Foster, Lucas Rouleau, Noah Nelson, Caden Hassler, Emmett Carbungco, Keegan Orris, Tanner Crowe and Owen Layhew.

Girls basketball

South Fayette 77, Mars 41 — The Planets trailed 39-24 at halftime of this section loss.

Alexis Cashdollar and Carmella McDole both netted 14 points for Mars (9-7, 3-4).

Haylie Lamonde led the host Lions (15-1, 8-0) with 20 points.

Swimming

Butler’s Abigail Vance won the 100-yard freestyle in the Golden Tornado’s 105-58 loss to North Allegheny.

Butler’s boys dropped a 101-32 decision to the Tigers.
