Tillie Mae (Knoll) Mohney

Tillie Mae (Knoll) Mohney, 96, of Lower Burrell died Monday in Allegheny Valley Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born Nov. 10, 1921, in Chicora, and was a daughter of the late Joseph M. and Anna M. (Frye) Knoll.

Tillie enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, watching westerns on television and visiting her family in Butler.

She is survived by three children, Rose Ann (Roy) Ament of New Kensington, Irene E. Mohney of Lower Burrell, and Edwin J. (Cheryl) Mohney Jr. of Natrona Heights; 22 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

Among these are multiple sets of five generations.

Tillie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Edwin J. Mohney Sr.; two daughters, Sara M. (John) Jordan and Diana L. Lawson; her grandson, Mark D. Jordan; her great- granddaughter, Alicia Mae Ament; her sister, Sarah E. McNany; and three brothers, Mickey, Harry and Clifford Knoll.

MOHNEY — Family and friends of Tillie Mae (Knoll) Mohney, who died Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Robert Martin and Pastor Greg Spencer of Trinity United Methodist Church of Brackenridge officiating.Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.Please visit www.giglerfuneralhome.com.
