Marie Elaine Ridley, 75, of Bruin, passed away peacefully Jan. 29, 2025, at Forbes Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, following an illness.

Born April 1, 1949, in Butler, Marie was the daughter of the late Dale and Gloria Bartoe. Marie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Terry “Buck” Ridley, whom she married on Jan. 9, 1971.

A talented beautician, she brought joy to many through her work. Marie had a deep love for baseball and was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates. She also enjoyed road trips and beach vacations, creating countless cherished memories with her family. Among her greatest joys was her role as “Grammy,” treasuring the years spent watching her grandchildren grow.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Cari (Matt) Horner of Greensburg and Greg (Erica) Ridley of Irwin; and five beloved grandchildren, Jacob, Allyson, and Mitchell Horner, as well as Jordyn and Dylan Ridley. Marie also leaves behind a brother, Randy (Judy) Bartoe of Dearborn, Mich.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph “Joe” Bartoe, who died in 1998.

Marie’s warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.

RIDLEY — Private visitation and funeral services for Marie E. Ridley, who died on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025, will be held at a future date at H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME in Parker.
