Woman charged with attempting to bring drugs into jail
Butler City police charged a woman after she allegedly tried to sneak cocaine into Butler County Prison.
Sara Lee McCollumns, 28, of Butler, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance by an inmate following a Sunday, Feb. 2 incident.
Police said McCollumns was asked multiple times if she had anything on her person that could be considered contraband after being arrested on a warrant. Police said she produced a crack pipe, which was disposed of, and McCollumns was transported without incident.
Police said after McCollumns was booked in Butler County Prison, a corrections officer informed city police McCollumns had a small amount of cocaine in her jacket pocket.
McCollumns is being held in the Butler County Prison on a $10,000 bond.
