Butler County will soon lose a hardware store.

Tractor Brothers, a farming equipment dealer located on Evans City Road in Connoquenessing Township, is set to close.

Tractor Brothers initially opened in Greensburg as a Mahindra tractor and accessory dealership before expanding its range of products and opening a second store in Butler County.

No hard closing date has been set. Instead, according to an employee at the Greensburg location, the Butler location will sell off as much of its inventory as it can before closing its doors. The Greensburg store, located on Hartman Road, will remain open.

This marks the second store in the Tractor Brothers chain to close permanently following a store in Stoneboro, Mercer County.
