Rose Marie Cirillo
Rose Marie (Pry) Cirillo, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, Feb. 8, 2025, at her home. Rose was 91.
Mrs. Cirillo was born Aug. 13, 1933, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Russell and Flavia (Bridge) Pry.
Rose, a woman of strong faith, was a devout Catholic and a member of the Church of Notre Dame in Hermitage. Earlier in life, she was an active member of St. Anthony Church in Forestville, where she also served as a CCD instructor. Later in life, Rose volunteered in the soup kitchen at the Prince of Peace Center in Farrell for more than 10 years.
A homemaker, Rose dedicated her life to caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved nothing more than to spend time with her family, especially at her cottage in the woods. Rose felt deep comfort in lighting a candle in times of prayer, whether it be for comfort, safety, healing or peace — a tradition her family will continue in her honor.
Her husband of 60 years, Paul R. Cirillo, whom she married Sept. 24, 1953, preceded her in death Aug. 5, 2013. The family finds peace knowing she is reunited with her one true love.
Rose is survived by six sons, Richard Cirillo (Kathleen) of Mercer, Joseph Cirillo of Sharon, William Cirillo (Margaret) of Fort Mill, S.C., Thomas Cirillo (Lori) of Hermitage, David Cirillo (Laura) of Champion, Ohio and Ronald Cirillo (Melanie) of Orlando, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Ruth Cirillo of Slippery Rock. She is also survived by two sisters and three brothers.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Cirillo; two brothers; and a sister.
