Tom Sawyer ballet opens at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center
Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center will present the new and original American musical, “Tom Sawyer: A Ballet,” in the MainStage Theater from Feb. 20 to 23.
Presented with a live orchestra, this adaptation of the Mark Twain classic is both a visual and musical experience, exploring the charm and vitality of youth by telling the story of a boy’s passage from childhood to his teenage years. The music’s wit and beauty blends perfectly with the grace and playfulness of Twain’s novel, according to a news release.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 20 to 22, and at 2 p.m. Feb. 23, at 1 Lincoln Park in Midland, Beaver County. Tickets start at $18 and are available by visiting LincolnParkArts.org, or by calling the box office at 724-576-4644.
