N. Michael Gallippi
N. Michael “Mike” Gallippi, 79, of Middlesex Township, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Pittsburgh on Sept. 30, 1945, and raised in East Liberty, he was the son of the late Rocco Gallippi and Sally (Stankiewicz) Gallippi.
He attended Our Lady Help of Christians School in East Liberty and later attended Connelley Trade School for graphic arts (lettering & design).
He married Darlene (Putirka) on Aug. 10, 1974. They moved to Valencia (Middlesex Township) and enjoyed 50 years living in the country, fixing up their house together, and rescuing many different animals. He also worked as a machine builder at Herr Voss, now Andritz Metals, in Mars (Callery), for over 30 years.
Mike was stubborn, yet funny and loving. A hard worker and jack-of-all-trades, there was not a thing he could not build or fix somehow. His artistic ability carried on throughout the years with countless projects around the house and sharing his talents with his beloved daughter, Gina. This included enjoying watching Bob Ross often too!
He liked to spend his weekend evenings in the addition he built, with a bar. He would watch movies and listen to oldies on the radio or the records he had. Dion and the Belmonts, Frankie Valli, the Bee Gees, Elvis and Ricky Nelson, to name a few favorites.
He just loved being busy outside and around the house, being creative in any way he could. He also had a huge love for classic cars. He was always checking out his car books, watching the auto auctions on TV, collecting die-cast model cars, and going to car shows often with his daughter (and family).
He is survived by his wife, Darlene; daughter, Gina Warner, and son-in-law, Adam Warner, of Valencia, who had seven extra special years with him living next door; his niece, Dena Bresuciak (Doug) and great-nephews, Matthew and David of New Kensington; and his niece-in-law, Sherri Gallippi and great-nephew, Rocco, of Pittsburgh. Along with all of his pets and grandpets.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronny, and sister-in-law, Norma; also his brother, Ricky; and nephew, Darin.
