Riding in a van to Moscow airport, Marc Fogel said he was “very tired” and “just wanted to be reunited with his family.” But he also asked if any other Americans would be going home.

Three and a half years of detainment had finally ended, and Fogel was thinking about others.

A video, shared by the Fogel family’s attorney, Sasha Phillips, show’s Fogel being taken out of a jail in Russia, and transported to the American embassy in Moscow on Feb. 11.

Fogel landed on American soil around 10 p.m. eastern time before visiting President Donald Trump and other politicians at the White House. His return was met with national media attention and celebration on social media.

Fogel’s mother, Malphine, his wife, Jane, and his sister, Anne, among other family members, have strongly advocated for his release over the past three and a half years. As the video illustrates, his release came unexpectedly.

Toward the end of the video, Fogel is seen meeting with Steve Witkoff, an envoy of the Trump administration, before boarding on a plane headed for America.
