Nelson Clark
Nelson Clark, 29, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, at UPMC Mercy.
Born Oct. 25, 1995, in Newport, R.I., he was the son of Homer N. Clark III and Jennifer “Jenny” (Campbell) Clark.
Nelson was a 2014 graduate of Butler High School where he was elected prom king that year. He went on to attend Butler County Community College. Nelson enjoyed everything Star Wars, and had an affinity for building Legos. Lately, he had become somewhat of a SpaceX junkie, and was fascinated by the rockets and where space travel is headed. Nelson had a love for country music, and always looked forward to going to concerts. He was also a fan of Professional Bull Riding and NASCAR.
He is survived by his parents, Homer N. Clark III and Jenny Clark of Butler; his three sisters, Ruby (Hunter) Morgan of Butler, Emma Clark of Midland and Zoe Clark of Butler; his nephew and buddy, Henry Morgan; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Nelson was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Nelson's family extends heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of the caregivers that helped him throughout his life.
CLARK — Family and friends of Nelson Clark, who died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the funeral home, with Pastor Sam Fahnestock, of New Life Christian Ministries, officiating.
