Loretta Mae Foster
Loretta Mae Foster, 81, of Middletown, Del., passed peacefully on the morning of March 27, 2021.
She married her high school sweetheart, Bill, and they spent 54 wonderful years together before his passing in 2016.
Loretta had a heart for caring, and graduated from the Beaver Valley General Hospital School of Nursing in 1960 to pursue her lifelong career in nursing.
Loretta and Bill were blessed with four sons, Bill Jr., Jeff, Brian, and Brian's twin, David, who was in this world for only one day.
Loretta was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and found her greatest joy in time spent with her children, their spouses and her six amazing grandchildren.
Loretta was very active with her boys' team sports and participated as a “Team Mom” (occasional coach) in the baseball dugout, host for football and wrestling team dinners, and was proud to be the loudest voice in the gymnasium or stadium as she cheered on her boys and grandkids.
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Bill.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Jr. (Laurie), Jeff (Kim) and Brian (Theresa); her grandchildren, Jeff Jr. (Sarah), Hayley, Jack, Jase, Tyler and Brynne; and her beloved brother, Skip (Susan).
The family is especially grateful for the friends and family who had sustained Mom, enriched her life and gave her life greater meaning since Dad's passing five years ago. We have no doubt that your friendship and your shared faith in God kept her active, independent, and full of life until the very end. We know that you are grieving with us. Be comforted in knowing that she had the most peaceful and faithful death that you can imagine.
We love her and will miss her dearly, but trust that she is experiencing a peace and joy that we cannot even conceive of right now.
