Patrick Milliren

Milliren

Patrick E. Milliren, 57, of Sarver, passed in to Heaven on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, following an extremely hard and courageous fight at UPMC St. Margaret.

Born May 26, 1967, he was the cherished son of Thomas and Georgia (Easley) Milliren.

Raised in Saxonburg, Pat was a 1985 graduate of Knoch High School and Butler Area Vo-Tech, auto-mechanic program. He worked hard his entire life as a skilled carpenter and contractor, a trade he learned from his dad and lovingly passed on to his son. For a time, he was the owner and operator of Milliren Construction; a family business now in it’s third generation. It gave him great pride that his own son carried on the business.

Pat was always the life of the party! He loved his music loud and always had a tune he wanted you to hear. He especially loved going to see concerts or hearing live bands, usually finding his way onto the floor or front row of the show. He loved hosting Steelers parties and watching or traveling to NASCAR races.

Pat was a culinary connoisseur of sorts, taking great joy in trying new foods or finding and trying new recipes. He loved knowing the story behind the foods he ate. Many times the ingredients for his recipes came from his own garden, he definitely had a green thumb! If you left his house hungry, it was your own fault. Most of all, Pat loved his family fiercely and would do whatever it took to take care of them. He called it Milliren to the Bone. He was a man of great honor who kept his word. He was a master at a well-placed, sometimes inappropriate good joke and would say, “At least I made you smile!”

He is survived by his beloved Mamosa and Daddio, Tom and Georgia Milliren, of Saxonburg; the pride and joy of his life, his son, Patrick P. Milliren of New Kensington; his hens, sisters, Fae Greenway (Mark) of Cabot and Rebekah Milliren-Cruz (Douglas) of Lower Burrell; two adored grandchildren, Corey and Rylee Milliren; loved nieces and nephews, Glenna Smith (Nico), Georgia Smith (Zac), Eric Greenway (Brittany), Jaxon Cruz, Ayla Cruz and Roman Cruz; bonus son, Corey Miller; and several great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Milliren and Easley grandparents; one hen, sister, Charlotte Milliren; and his guardian angel, infant brother, James David Milliren.

Finally, as Pat would say:

Here’s to us and the dang few like us, long may we run … and then some!
