Thomas Caruso

Thomas Caruso, 88, of Cranberry Township died Thursday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

Born Nov. 9, 1915, in Squirrel Hill, he was the son of Antonio and Giovana Cuda Caruso.

Mr. Caruso was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township, where he was an usher for years. He was a Navy World War II veteran and a member of the Mars VFW Post #7505 and Cranberry Elks Lodge #2249.

He is survived by his wife, Florence Caruso, whom he married Sept. 27, 1947; two brothers, William Caruso of California, and Antonio Caruso Jr., of Ben Salem, Pa.; and two sisters, Margaret Fasticusa of Bethel Park, and Rose Markusic of Tuscin, Calif.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

CARUSO - Friends of Thomas Caruso, who died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, at GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Rd., Cranberry Township, with the Rev. Gary W. Krummert as the celebrant.
