Slippery Rock school board approves 2025-26 high school course guide

SLIPPERY ROCK TWP — At the Slippery Rock Area school board regular meeting on Monday, Feb. 24, the board:

  • approved the 2025-26 course guide for the district’s high school students. According to superintendent Alfonso Angelucci, the changes to the guide are reflective of the incoming career-technical courses and for dual enrollment programs.
  • approved advertising of bids for supplies for the district. The list includes, but is not limited to: art supplies, wood, furniture, copy paper, custodial supplies and nursing supplies.
  • approved the 2025-26 proposed budget for the Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School
  • approved a bid with CDW-G for 32 Meraki wireless access points and antennas and 36 10-gigabyte fiber module switches, costing $15,296 and $14,400 respectively. The bid was made through the FCC's E-Rate program, and the board expects a 70% reimbursement.

The next Slippery Rock Area school board meeting will be held at Moraine Elementary School and is set for March 10 at 7:30 p.m.
