Edward “Ed” Sarver, 87, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025.

He was born in Butler on Sept. 26, 1937, to the late William and Dolly (McKissick) Sarver.

Ed was employed as a painter at Pullman until it closed, he then worked at Butler County Ford until his retirement. He was known for being hardworking and a great husband, devoted father and a great pappy. Ed enjoyed watching the Steelers, going to car shows, and loved to go to garage and yard sales.

He was the beloved husband of Connie (Eichenauer) Sarver, since their marriage in 1985; father of Jayni (James Petrigni) and Edward Jr. (Schconda) Sarver, Leah (Robert) Sipe and Mike (Chassidie) Eichenauer; brother of Ron (Jill) Sarver, Dolly (Mickey) Rubin and Ralph (Diana) Sarver; grandfather of Brandi, Heather, D.J., Sierra, Haley, Macie, Trinity, Gaven and Jessep; and great-grandfather to numerous great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his eight siblings; and his granddaughter, Danielle.

SARVER — Family and friends of Edward “Ed” Sarver, who died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A closing prayer will immediately follow in the funeral home.
