Susan Margaret Reinhart, 76, of Butler passed away suddenly Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital surrounded by her beloved family.

Born Oct. 6, 1948, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Edward Reinhart and Dorothy (Koselnack) Reinhart.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and adored her two dogs, Buddy and Bebe.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1993, Sue’s dedication to her work led her to further her education at Slippery Rock University, where she obtained her master’s degree in counseling psychology. She’s devoted her career to counseling and caring deeply for her patients.

She was passionate about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, playing the piano, creating beautiful paintings, spending time with her family and her dogs, and her work as a therapist.

Sue is survived by her sons, Doug Kappler (Christine), Joe Kappler (Angela), Andrew Kappler (Traci) and Jonathan Campbell (Ashley); daughter, Melody Kiefer; sisters, Linda DeFazio (Art) and Cynthia Plazek; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

REINHART — A memorial service for Susan Margaret Reinhart, who died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2025, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., Butler with Pastor Dave Maitland, officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
