BUTLER TWP - Due to anticipated heavy rain on both Wednesday and Thursday, the Butler Golden Tornado Marching Band pie festival scheduled for Wednesday has been canceled.
The rain date was set for Thursday, but rain is forecast for that day as well.
The festival will be rescheduled for some time next week. As soon as a new date is confirmed, it will be made public.

EAST BRADY, Clarion County - Divers from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will remove mussels from the Allegheny River the week of Sept. 13."The mussel removal is necessary to allow the new East Brady Bridge to be constructed next summer," a state Department of Transportation press release said.Mussels that are endangered species, club shell and northern riffle shell, will be taken to West Virginia and kept until the new bridge is built, PennDOT said. When the river bed stabilizes, they will be returned to the river near East Brady.The new bridge, which will be located about 300 feet downstream from the existing bridge, is scheduled to be finished in 2007.
