AHN first in region to offer AI-powered therapy to treat enlarged prostate
Allegheny Health Network announced it is the first health care system in Western Pennsylvania to offer Aquablation therapy with the new HYDRO Robotic System, a platform designed to treat men affected by benign prostatic hyperplasia, commonly known as an enlarged prostate.
Aquablation therapy, now delivered by an artificial intelligence powered robotic system, will provide significant, long-lasting benign prostatic hyperplasia symptom relief.
AHN said benign prostatic hyperplasia affects about 40 million men in the United States, which disrupts urinary functions.
The HYDROS robotic system uses FirstAssist AI for treatment planning, advanced image guidance and robotic resection to enhance efficiency and deliver more accurate, consistent treatment for improved clinical outcomes.
