Mary Jo Limmer

Limmer

Mary Jo Limmer, 60, of Zelienople, was called home into the arms of Jesus on Monday, March 3, 2025.

She is survived by her siblings, Victoria Waple (Joseph), Karl Limmer (Carol), Nancy Riordan and Kenneth Limmer (Denise). Mary Jo’s unconditional love is an example to her 12 nieces and nephews and their spouses and 23 grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by her loving parents, Karl and Mary Rose Limmer; and brother-in-law, John Riordan.

Mary Jo was a favorite to all who met and knew her. She would willingly offer you one of her “big” hugs when she saw you. She was known to greet and hug anyone she met in the hospital corridors, as taking a walk in the hospital was one of her favorite things to do. There was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with family at family gatherings and was always up for sharing a meal and teasing with loved ones, calling each one a “Turkey.” Mary Jo had many hobbies throughout her lifetime which included, bowling, attending her “Program,” coloring, playing Uno, watching “Golden Girls” and “Reba,” and listening to music. She would sing along to her favorite songs, knowing every word and singing with all her might.

Mary Jo showed love and affection to all who knew, her. Her family gave her all the love possible but it was a small bit compared to the ocean of love, joy and laughter Mary Jo shared with us. We are all better to have loved and been loved and hugged by Mary Jo.
