Shoaf

Sandra L. Shoaf, 78, of Chicora, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford.

She was born Jan. 31, 1947, in Butler, to the late James and Margaret (Bowser) Grove.

Sandra graduated from Moniteau High School in 1965. She then worked for the Office of Personnel Management in Boyers, as a clerk, until retiring in 1992.

Sandra was a member of Crosswind Alliance Church in Butler. She enjoyed reading her Bible, working on crossword puzzles and spending time with her loving family.

Sandra is survived by her three sons, Thomas C. Shoaf Jr., James (Michelle) Shoaf and Jarrod Shoaf; daughter, Dawn E. (Michael) Howells; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Thomas C. Shoaf Sr., whom she married Dec. 17, 1978, and who passed away Sept. 4, 2020; two daughters, Dana L. Clark and Jennifer R. Shoaf; two brothers, James Grove Jr. and Wilbert Grove; and two sisters, Charlotte Kather and Betty Jane Bollinger-Graham.

SHOAF — Family and friends of Sandra L. Shoaf, who died Tuesday, March 4, 2025, will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 10, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

A funeral service will be held immediately after the visitation at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Pastor Tim Dietrich officiating.

A private interment will take place in Greenwood Memorial Park, 104 Melwood Road, Lower Burrell.
