Betty Holcomb
Betty J. Holcomb, 90, of Baden, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, while under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.
Born June 30, 1934, in Evans City, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Ida Youngblood.
Betty graduated from Evans City High School. She was a faithful member of Baden Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Busy Bees sewing group, who created lap robes for distribution to the elderly. She also went on mission work trips with the Baden Methodist Youth Group. Above all, Betty cherished the time she spent with her family. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Joyce Marrie, Donna Brynczak, Cheryl Holcomb, Calvin R. Holcomb, Betsy L. Miller and Thomas P. Holcomb; her grandchildren, Shawn Marrie, Brenda M. Zack, Brandi Patterson, Timothy Curtis, Rachael Didio, Rick Holcomb, Lexi Holcomb, Grant Miller Jr., Karli Miller, Paige Miller, Bryce Miller, Krista Moyer-Cowden, Richard Moyer II, Sean Moyer, Tommy Holcomb and Faith Holcomb; and her great-grandchildren, Piper Marrie, Dominik Washington, Madi Washington, Tripp Patterson, Cali Patterson, Luke Curtis, Olivia Curtis, Louis Didio and Samuel Didio, and their spouses; and her great-great-grandchildren, Cavik Zack, Holland and Zack Washington, Nebula Burns, Marla Moyer-Cowden, Emmerich Moyer-Cowden, Sedona Moyer and Richard Moyer III.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin G. Holcomb, who passed away in 1990; and her brother and sister, Joseph Youngblood and Shirley Alma Youngblood.
HOLCOMB — Friends of Betty J. Holcomb, who died Sunday, March 9, 2025, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
Additional gathering time will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, at Baden Methodist Church, 420 Dippold St., Baden, PA 15005, with Pastor James Young officiating. Everyone please meet at church.
Betty will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery in Freedom, alongside her husband, Calvin, and infant daughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her honor to Baden Methodist Church.
