Butler based Armco Credit Union announced it donated $10,000 to the Butler County Community College Education Foundation as a show of gratitude for the college’s support following a garbage truck crash that temporarily closed the credit union’s main Butler branch in January.

To help supplement people in the area with in-person banking needs, Armco extended its Butler County Community College branch hours during the week the Butler branch was closed at the Student Success Center on the second floor.

The donation will benefit the BC3 Education Foundation, which provides scholarships and resources for students pursuing higher education.
