FORWARD TWP — During its monthly meeting on Thursday night, March 13, the township board of supervisors floated the idea of streaming live video of their township meetings over YouTube.

While no action was taken on the proposal during the meeting, Supervisor Susan Oliver-Stough said that they were looking into the possibility of setting up a YouTube channel for the township to stream meetings.

“There's several local townships that already broadcast their meetings,” Oliver-Stough said. “I'm going to be talking with them to see what equipment they're using.”

“I think it would be a very, very beneficial means of communication for folks,” said Supervisor Mark Wilson.

Oliver-Stough envisioned using a microphone setup so viewers could be able to hear the supervisors as well as any residents who wished to speak during public comment.
