Cora S. Tirk, 79, of Bruin Road, Petrolia, Parker Township, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 1, 2025, following a period of declining health.

Cora was born in Beaver on Aug. 31, 1945. She was a graduate of Knoch High School. She worked as a waitress and bartender and was the manager of Alan’s Roadhouse in Petrolia for a number of years. She enjoyed spending time at her camp in Brookston and visiting friends at their camps. She always looked forward to family gatherings and most especially enjoyed the company of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cora was married in Unionville at a family picnic on July 4, 1985, to Robert M. Tirk, who survives. The couple would have celebrated 40 years of marriage this year. She is also survived by a son, Ron Rearick and his wife, Kelly, of Butler; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Bookhamer, and his wife, Rowe, of Clintonville; a sister, Tanya Hackwelder, of Butler; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two daughters, Debra Kepler and June Ellen Rearick; and a brother.
