Hirt

Linda Lee Hirt, 75, of Prospect, died suddenly Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospice House, after being diagnosed with cancer on Jan. 22, 2025.

She was born Feb. 12, 1949, in Erie. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Flora Ann Edelman Spitzer.

Linda was known for her abundance of love. She never met a stranger as she loved everyone fearlessly. She was forever accepting everyone she crossed paths with. Linda was a safe place for everyone or anyone that needed it. She loved her family, friends and her dog, Scout.

Survivors include her beloved daughter, Jennifer Davis and her husband, Mike, of Prospect; her granddaughters, Riley and Claire Davis; brother, Al and his wife, Darlene Spitzer, of Erie; her nephews, David Spitzer (Jessica) and Bob Spitzer; many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews; and her close friends, Janet, Judy, Ann and Julie.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Joel P. Hirt; and close friend, Howard Brown.

The family would like to thank the staff at Butler Memorial Hospital, 6 Main, for their kind, considerate care.

HIRT — A celebration of life service for Linda Lee Hirt, who died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at First United Methodist Church, 1802 N. Main St. Ext., Butler, PA 16001, with friends and family welcome to greet the family from 12:30 to 1 p.m., with service to follow. A light lunch will be served immediately following the service.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.
