5 connected to stolen motorcycles
CRANBERRY TWP — Five young men are accused in connection with the theft of three motorcycles stolen in a break-in at a garage on Plains Church Road.
Charged in the case are Manuel R. Lemus, 21, of New Sewickley Township, Beaver County; George D. DiCicco II, 22, of Forward Township; Preston J. Kaluzny, 19, and Andrew J. Goehring, 21, both of Cranberry Township; and Jacob J. Blazier, 19, of Forward Township.
Cranberry Township police last week charged the suspects following an investigation that began March 28 when Bob McNorton discovered his motorcycles missing.
The dirt bikes — a 2004 Honda 100, a 1992 KTM 250 and a 1995 Suzuki 125 — were in a garage at the home owned by McNorton's mother, Nancy McNorton, police said.
McNorton, who lives next door, also discovered signs of a break-in, including a window missing to a garage door at his mother's home.
A tip led investigators April 5 to Lemus' trailer home where one of the stolen cycles was spotted, according to court documents. Lemus and DiCicco both were at the trailer, as was the stolen Suzuki.
Lemus and DiCicco were taken to the Cranberry police station where they allegedly admitted to breaking into Nancy McNorton's garage and stealing the bikes.
DiCicco sold all of the bikes, a police affidavit said. He was seeking $300 for each one.
He sold the KTM to Kaluzny and the Honda to Blazier; the Suzuki had been promised to Goehring, documents said. Investigators believe the buyers knew the bikes were stolen.
Police went to Kaluzny's and Blazier's homes and allegedly found the two other cycles. Kaluzny had already dismantled the KTM and placed the engine in an all-terrain vehicle, documents said.
He allegedly told police that he ditched the other KTM parts along roads in Renfrew. Kaluzny later took officers to those roads where the parts were recovered, police said.
Lemus and DiCicco are charged with burglary, conspiracy, trespass, receiving stolen property, theft and criminal mischief.
Kaluzny, Goehring and Blazier are charged with receiving stolen property and conspiracy. Kaluzny also is charged with criminal mischief.
