A portion of Morton Avenue in Butler Township was closed for a short time Wednesday, April 9, while Butler Township Police Department and a SWAT team responded to an incident on the 600 block of the road.

Morton Avenue was closed between East McQuistion Road and Brown Avenue, with traffic redirected until law enforcement cleared out just before 5:30 p.m.

Local police did not immediately provide any information on the response, or the need for the SWAT units, at the time of this reporting.
