Pushpa Walia

Pushpa Walia, 79, of Mars passed away Wednesday evening in the comfort of her daughter's home.

Born Sept. 3, 1935, in Delhi, India, she was the daughter of the late Babu Lal and Brahma Devi Ahluwalia.

Surviving are her children, Sunil K. (Rampyari) Walia, Dushyant K. (Chanda) Walia, Harsh V. (Liliette) Walia, Ashok K. Walia, Deepak K. (Rupa) Walia, Sidharth K. (Rhea) Walia, Pradeep K. (Suzanne) Walia, Geeta (Bipin) Kaul and Sandeepa (Brian) Kaleida; 18 grandchildren; her siblings, Shakuntala Devi Ahluwalia, Amar Singh Ahluwalia, Santosh Chandar and Sushila Mehta; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mohinder Singh Walia, who she married March 7, 1954, and who died June 6, 1990, and by her brother, Lalit Ahluwalia.
