Shick

Muriel C. Shick, 91, of Cabot, formerly of Fawn Township, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, where she was a resident for the past 1½ years.

She was born Nov. 4, 1933, in Harrison Township, a daughter of the late Leonard and Rosabelle (Bargerstock) Kuntz.

Muriel lived most of her adult life in Fawn Township, and was a member of the former Lighthouse Fellowship Center in Buffalo Township. A 1951 graduate of Har-Brack High School, she especially enjoyed spending time with her family, children, grand- and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Judith (David) Lippold of Clinton Township, Wendy (Scott) Garmon of Charlotte, N.C., Geanie (Donnie) Jones of Monroeville and Mindy (Mark) Wirick of Indiana Township; grandchildren, Jason Hockenberry, Katie (Brian) Patrick, Matthew (Andinia) Garmon, Nicholas (Susie) Skowronski and Jenna Skowronski; and great-grandchildren, Bryce Patrick, William Skowronski and Charles Skowronski.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd G. “Bud” Shick, in 2016; granddaughter, Lee Ann Hockenberry; brother, Robert Kuntz; and sisters, Gloria Kuntz and Eileen Schrecengost.

SHICK — Visitation and services for Muriel C. Shick, who died Friday, April 18, 2025, were held Tuesday at DUSTER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, with her brother-in-law, the Rev. Richard Shick, officiating.

Burial was in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
