Local author to talk about the Old Butler Graveyard at library
The Butler Area Public Library will be hosting local author LuAnn Cherry for a talk about her book, “Old Butler Graveyard,” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 29.
Cherry will present a book talk and signing of her book, which is about the first burying ground in Butler, which was the land of the former Butler Middle School. In 1905, the graves were removed and the first Butler High School was built there. It was later known as the Butler Junior High School or “Yellow Brick” building. Learn the story of the people buried there and where they were moved.
