Wilma Jean Barkey, 88, of Georgia, formerly of Evans City, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025.

Born Nov. 11, 1936, in Forward Township, Wilma was the last surviving daughter of the late Enos E. and Leona B. Goubeaud Barkey.

She was a former member of the Church of the Nazarene of Zelienople.

Wilma worked as a nurse’s aide at St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars, for 35 years, retiring in 2002.

Wilma enjoyed going to the beach and gathering unique seashells.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Garvin, Sharon Winterhalter and Ruthene Pinkney.

BARKEY — A graveside service for Wilma Jean Barkey, who died Sunday, April 20, 2025, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, in the Evans City Cemetery.

She will be laid to rest with her family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, 328 W. Main St., Evans City.
