AHN receives $3 million gift

Allegheny Health Network announced it is has received $3 million gift from Joseph and Kathleen Guyaux to support three of AHN’s medical specialties — neurosciences, cardiovascular medicine and orthopedics.

The gift will be split evenly among the three service lines — $1 million for the AHN Cardiovascular Institute, $1 million for the AHN Neuroscience Institute and $1 million to the AHN Orthopedic Institute.

The Cardiovascular Institute gift will create the Joseph and Kathleen Guyaux Innovation Program in Cardiology, while the neurosciences gift will create the Joseph and Kathleen Guyaux Epilepsy Center.

Joseph Guyaux is the longtime chair of the Highmark Health board of directors and he also serves on the boards of Highmark and AHN.
