Police reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
April 8 — Michael W. Budner Jr., 35, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession following a March 29 incident. Police said Budner had a glass crack cocaine pipe with burnt residue.
April 8 — Maxwell J. Bowers, 33, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of unlawful use of audio or video in court following a March 20 incident. Police said Bowers took video and photos in court.
April 11 — Deborah A. Ashcraft, 59, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol following a March 15 traffic stop. Police said Ashcraft tested positive for cocaine and had a blood alcohol content of 0.216%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
April 11 — Edward C. Fink, 38, of Chicora, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of false identification to law enforcement, false report, identity theft, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a March 21 traffic stop. Police said Fink gave officers a fake name and driver’s license during a traffic stop and had a glass smoking device and a plastic bag of marijuana.
April 14 — Andrew C. Sykes, 34, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of controlled substance possession and one misdemeanor count each of marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a March 21 traffic stop. Police said Sykes had four containers of medical marijuana, a glass vile containing suspected methamphetamine, a glass bubble pipe and a clear plastic container with a white powdery substance.
April 15 — Chad W. Finucan, 41, of Butler, was charged with felony access device fraud following a Feb. 3, 2024, incident. Police said Finucan purchased $580 in lottery tickets with someone else’s card.
April 17 — Donald E. Vargo, 50, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor theft following an April 11 incident. Police said Vargo stole a woman’s phone.
April 17 — Bruce Lewis, 57, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor DUI following an April 6 incident. Police said Lewis had a BAC of 0.176%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
April 17 — Gareth J. Feracioly, 44, of Butler, was charged with felony forgery following an April 3 incident. Police said Feracioly attempted to cash a $1,200 forged check.
